THE NEW ZEALAND RED CROSS SOCIETY, Award of Merit, struck in bronze (59mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'Miss M Hughes/1981' [illustrated), another, 30 Years Service medal, struck uniface in gilt and enamel (21mm), bar and pin-back; another, membership badge in gilt and enamel (20mm), no maker, pin-back; also, Australian Red Cross Society, membership badge in gilt and enamel (17mm), by K.G.Luke, Melb., pin-back . Very fine - extremely fine, the first in case of issue. (4)
Together with the Red Cross citation for the Outstanding Service Award to Miss M.Hughes for 'Distinguished Service' and dated 25 March 1981, a photo of Margaret Hughes holding the medal, and a copy of an obituary for Miss Hughes from the Queenstown Branch of Red Cross.
