SCOTLAND, Blackford Golf Club, prize medal in silver (27x28mm), with ring top suspension, handcrafted with the club's motif hand engraved on the obverse, the reverse inscribed,
'Blackford Golf Club/Won by/C. C. Scott/Novr/1890'. Good very fine and rare.

Blackford Golf Club was founded in 1889 and C.C. Scott was a foundation member of the club. His medal was awarded for an event held in the first year of competition. Today the club has a maximum of 72 playing members and in 1890 this figure was 35.
