RICHARD II, (1377-1399), silver groat, type III / II mule, London Mint, mintmark cross pattee, (4.17 g), obv. crowned bust facing within tressure of arches, bushy hair wide of right side of face, fleurs on all cusps, legend around begins at 12 o'clock, double saltire stops, Lombardic Ns / rev. long cross pattĀ£e dividing the legends, in each angle three pellets, double saltire stops, normal Ns, (S.1680/1679 mule, N.1321a/1320b mule). Toned, fine.
