RICHARD II, (1377-1399), silver groat, type III, London Mint, (3.73 g), obv. crowned bust facing within tressure of arches, fleurs on all cusps, bushy hair, legend around, saltire stops, rev. long cross pattee dividing the legends, in each angle three pellets, saltire stops, new waisted lettering with curved serifs, reversed Ns, (S.1680, N.1321a). Toned, fair.
