GROUP OF FOUR: 1939-45 Star; France and Germany Star; War Medal 1939-45; General Service Medal - two clasps - S.E.Asia 1945-46, Palestine 1945-48. 14408263 Pte D.Gilfoyle AAC on fourth medal. First to third medals un-named, last medal impressed. Extremely fine.
Pte Gilfoyle served in the 7th Parachute Btn, 5th Brigade, 6th Airborne Division. He was dropped on D-Day in Normandy, served Ardennes crossing of the Rhine, Java - Singapore and Palestine.
