Charles Henry Riley served with Casino cavalry forces from late 1880s to 1903; served with the 5th Light Horse until 1911; to England with the first N.S.W. Cavalry team; rode in the Queen's Escort at opening of the Imperial Institute; competed in various military competitions; operated a wheelwright business in Casino; was proprietor of the Tatham Hotel; was an alderman of Casino Council in the early 1900s.
