PELOPONNESOS, Argolis, Argos, (3rd century B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.12 g), obv. forepart of wolf to left, rev. large A, ivy leaf below, letters across top N I, all within incuse square, (cf.S.2794, BCD [LHS 96] 1078 [realised 800 SFr], BMC 69, Mycenae pl.9, 32, SNG Cop. 32, HGC 5, 667). Good very fine, reverse toned, rare.

Ex Patrick Cooper Collection, bought from Sotheby's July 15, 1980 (lot 36 part), acquired from CNG Triton VI Auction Sale January 14-15, 2003 (lot 1544 part). Lot includes tickets from CNG and Patrick Cooper.
