SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochos II posthumous issue (246-244 B.C.). silver tetradrachm (16.88 g), Antioch on the Orontes, obv. diademed head of Antiochos I right, dotted border, rev. **SWTHROS ANTIOCOU*, Apollo seated left on omphalos, examining arrow held in right hand and resting left hand on grounded bow, (S.6868, SC 641, HGC 9, 295 [S-R1], BMC 22). Rare and of attractive style, otherwise good very fine and very rare.

Ex Antiquarius, New Zealand, c.2000 for A$1000 with his ticket.
