THRACE, Perinthus, Poppaea, Augusta, (A.D. 62-65), AE 26 triassarion, (11.49 g), struck under Nero, A.D. 59-63, obv. diademed and draped bust of Poppaea Sabina right, rev. Headdress of Isis, **P*-E across field, all within laurel wreath, (S.670, RPC I 1756, Varbanov 27). Attractive brown and red toning, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
