FAUSTINA JUNIOR, wife of Marcus Aurelius, (died A.D.175), AE sestertius, Rome Mint, (24.17 g), obv. draped bust to right of Faustina, around FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, rev. C E R E S around, Ceres seated to left, holding two corn ears and a torch, S C across field, (S.-, RIC 1620, C.36). Deep green patina, with minor obverse porosity in field and on neck, otherwise very fine/nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.
