COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), AE sestertius, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 186, (27.26 g), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around M COMMODVS ANT P FELIX AVG BRIT, rev. around P M TR P XI [IMP VII], across field S C, COS V P P in exergue, Janus standing facing on low base in shrine showing two columns, with rounded top, holding a sceptre, (S.5780, RIC 460, C.489, BMC 568). Sharp portrait, very fine/fine and rare.
