PART MAX P M TR P VIIII, captives seated either side of base of trophy, (cf.S.6323, RIC 176, RSC 370); fouree denarius in base metal, issued 196-7, (3.21 g), obv. laureate head to right of Septimius Severus, around L SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP VIII, rev. Hercules standing right holding club on ground in right hand, around HERCVLI DEFENS, (cf.S.6284, cf.RIC 97, cf.RSC 212). Toned, very fine - good very fine. (2)
