DIADUMENIAN AS CAESAR, (A.D. 217-218), AE dupondius/as, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 217, (10.76 g), obv. bare headed bust of Diadumenian draped to right, around M O[PEL ANTO]NINVS DIADV[MENIAN]VS CAES, rev. around PRINC IVVE[NTVTIS] Diadumenian standing holding standard in left and two standards in right hand, S C across, (S.7456, RIC 212, BMC 159, C.9). Reddish brown patination, on an uneven flan, fine with a very fine portrait, rare.
