ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver antoninianus, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 219-220, (4.70 g), obv. radiate bust of Elagabalus draped and cuirassed to right, around IMP ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around PROVID DEORVM, Providentia standing holding wand over globe and cornucopiae, leaning on column, (S.7497, RIC 129, RSC 243). Bright, nearly extremely fine, scarce.
