PHILIP I, (A.D. 244-249), silver antoninianius, Rome Mint, issued 245-7, (4.08 g), obv. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, radiate draped bust to right, rev. Roma seated left, holding Victory and spear, shield at side, around ROMAE AETERNAE, (S.8952, RIC 44b, RSC 165). Attractively toned, nearly extremely fine - extremely fine and scarce.
