NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION, Christchurch, 1882, struck uniface in gilt copper (64x4.5mm), no maker, reverse scarified and lower part of rim blackened, probably for inserting into an exhibited item (M.1882/27). Edge nick and bump at bottom edge, a few oxidation spots, otherwise good very fine and rare.

The medal at M.1182/27 is identical but struck in copper. Morel does not list a gilt version.
