N.Z. INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION, Wellington, 1885, struck in silver (42mm), by S.Kohn. (Siegfried Kohn, Wellington), reverse inscribed 'G.Georgeson/& Co.' (M.1885/1). Small edge nicks and contact marks, otherwise very fine.

G.Georgeson & Co, Tailors & Habitmakers, Athenaeum Buildings, Lambton Quay, Wellington took out first prize for First-Class Tailoring and Excellence of Workmanship at the New Zealand Industrial Exhibition in 1885. It was also reported in 'Tailor and Cutter', the leading journal of the tailoring trade in the world, of the exceptional quality of workmanship by Georgeson & Co for their exhibit of clothing at the Colonial and Indian Exhibition held at Londion in 1886.
