UTSE (UNITED TEMPERANCE SOCIETIES' EXHIBITION), Auckland, 1911, struck in silver (26mm), hallmark for London 1911 by maker R.P (Robert Pringle & Sons, London) (design of Alf M.Skeates, jeweller, Auckland), fancy scroll and ring top suspension, all uninscribed. Nicely toned, extremely fine, one illustrated. (3)

The United Temperance Societies' Exhibition was held at Harbour Building 'F', Queen Street Wharf, Auckland 3-10 May 1911. There were over 2,000 competitive exhibits in art, literature, photography, cooking and others. There were also cadets' and boy and girl scouts' contests as well as a host of amusements such as the mysterious maze, merry mirror and miscellaneous side-shows and other events including concerts.
