MATAMATA ESTATE, For Long Service, 1887, struck in copper (22mm), unnamed, probably a trial strike as issued medals were gold (D&C.K3). Much mint red, virtually uncirculated and very rare.

Medals in gold were awarded to the employees of Josiah Firth following the dissolution of his estate just outside the town of Matamata in the Thames Valley.
