WWI, IDENTITY TAG, Egyptian scene within patterned enamel border, in silver (18mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Tpr Luxton/13/381/4. A.M.R/N.Z.E.F.'. Very fine.

13/381 Tpr Leslie William Luxton, Auckland Mounted Rifles, embarked from New Zealand 16 October 1914; wounded 9 June 1915 at Gallipoli, invalided to New Zealand and discharged 13 December 1915; Re-enlisted January 1917 in 24 Reinforcements for Mounted Rifles, NZEF, embarked from New Zealand 19 April 1917. Died at Whakatane, New Zealand on 3 April 1976.
