(AUCKLAND), Hardleys Ltd, fob medal handcrafted in voided gold (9ct, 4.87g, 27x27mm), by ACCR (?UK), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Presented/To/Reginald Richards/On The Occasion Of His/Leaving For The Front/from/Hardleys Ltd/14.12.15.'. Contact marks on obverse, otherwise very fine.

24/1793 Pte Reginald H. John Richards, 3rd Reinforcements, 2nd Battalion, F Company, NZRB, embarked from New Zealand 8 January 1916. Reginald Richards was a sheet metal worker with Hardleys Ltd, an Auckland based company. His name is recorded on the Edendale Primary School War Memorial WWI Plaque at the school entrance in Sandringham Road, Auckland.
