EVANSDALE, fob medal, handcrafted in gold (9ct, 10.88g, 35x33mm), no maker, ring top suspension, obverse inscribed 'N.Z.R.B./FRC', reverse inscribed 'Presented by the Residents of/Evansdale District/To/Rlf. F.R.Cameron/On His Return From/The War/18-5-19'. Very fine.
27077 Rflm Findlay (AKA Finlay) Robert Cameron, 8th Reinforcements, 3rd Battalion, G Company, NZRB, embarked from New Zealand, 23 September 1916, wounded in action 4 September 1917, returned to New Zealand leaving London 2 April 1919 and discharged 16 June 1919. Died 23 January 1959 and buried at Andersons Bay RSA Cemetery, Dunedin City Council.
