MILTON, fob medal, handcrafted in gold (9ct, 5.4g, 38x26mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Presented To/16439/ Farrr.R.C.Rawson/By the Residents of/Milton/on his Return/From/Active Service'; Maheno, fob medal, hand engraved in gold (9ct, 11.6g, 35x27mm), by W. & Co. (Wylie & Co, Oamaru), scroll and ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Presented to/No.16439/Farrier R.C.Rawson/By/Maheno Soldiers Welfare Society/in/Appreciation of Services/Rendered in the Great War/1914-'; also, stock fob medal in gold (9ct, 3.0g, 30x20mm), English maker and hallmark, ring top suspension, pin removed from back, reverse inscribed 'Kakanui/Sports/Winner/2 Mile/Cycle/Race/1914', all attached to a decorative cloth fob chain (220x25mm) with gold fittings and a central 'Kia Ora' fob (tot wt of all 33.1g). Very fine.
