PALMERSTON N.(ORTH) Tourn(amen)t, 1908, handcrafted fob in gold (9c, 5.38g, 31x34mm), no maker, ring top suspension and also fitted with pin-back, obverse inscribed 'Palmerston/N./Tournt./1908', reverse inscribed 'Pvte. C.Spurway'. Very fine.

The Palmerston North Tournament was a military tournament held in November 1908 on the King's Birthday. Private Spurway was competing as a member of the Wellington City Rifles.
