KEELEYS STARS, medal handcrafted in gold (9ct, 5.49g, 27x30mm), by S.Kohn (Sigfried Kohn, Wellington), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Keeleys Stars'. Very fine.

In 1914 Mr C.W.Keeley presented ten gold stars for competition by teams representing the Cambridge Rifle Club, Mounted Rifles, Territorials and Cadets; the Cambridge Rifle Club to be the first holders and the other branches of the Defence Force to have the right to challenge them.
