^Mr A.W.Warren won the Tauranga Defence Rifle Club's annual competition for the Floyd Memorial Championship Belt with an aggregate score of 429 points. The deciding shoots in the competition consisted of three shoots of 10 rounds at the 300, 500 and 600 yards ranges respectively with a possible of 450. He also won the Mirrielees gold medal for competition over 200, 300 and 500 yards ranges under service conditions with a total score of 141 points. The gold medal was presented by Mr A.J.Mirrielees, a life member of the club and a former four-times winner of the Floyd Memorial Championship Belt.
