ROYAL LIFE SAVING SOCIETY, in bronze (32mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'N.Rush/15.12.37'; New Zealand Surf Life Saving Association, Surf Medallion, in bronze (27x31.5mm), by M&K (Mayer & Kean, Wellington), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'N.B.Rush/11.3.39'; lapel badges in gilt and enamel for Ponsonby Amateur Swimming S.L.S.Club, and also Kare Kare Surf Life Saving Club. The first with some oxidation spots and the last two with oxidation, otherwise fine - very fine. (4)

In 1937 N.Rush, who was an accomplished competition swimmer, was a member of the Ponsonby 20-a-side team for the Tommy Lowe Memorial Relay at the North Shore Swimming and Life-saving Club's carnival at the Tepid Baths.
