UNITED FIRE BRIGADES ASSOCIATION OF N Z, Long Service Medal for five years service, in silver (39mm), by A.T. (Anton teutenberg, Auckland), reverse inscribed 'Fireman/H.Simpson/By/Waipukurau V.F.B/21-2-17'; Waipukurau School Cadets, shooting medal, in silver (37.5x42mm), by SEG (?), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Waipukurau/School Cadets/Won By/H.Simpson/1903'. Fine - very fine. (2)
It was reported in December that Waipukurau school cadets finished their shooting for the de Pelichet medal with a very awkward wind blowing which affected the scores. Sergeant H.Simpson tied for first place and then after a shoot off he was declared the winner. The medal was presented to him at the school break-up.
