UNITED FIRE BRIGADES ASSOCIATION OF N Z, Long Service Medal for five years service, in silver (39mm), by A.T. (Anton Teutenberg, Auckland), with (4) 2 Years Service bars, reverse inscribed 'Secretary/T.W.Thompson/By The/Hamilton/V. Fire Brigade/July 8.1909' (D&C.L3; O&D.115). Toned good very fine.

Secretary T.W.Thompson and ex-Fireman S.Stapleton each received a five years' long service medal at the 25 November 1909 monthly meeting of the Volunteer Fire Brigade held at the Hamilton Fire Station. Capt. Enersen was presiding and the medals were presented by His Worship the Mayor, Mr J.A.Young.
