L.O.L. (Loyal Orange Lodge) Nos 37 & 43, presentation piece in the form of a silver floral patterned oval tray (148x101mm), hallmarked for Chester by maker CJF (Charles Fox & Co, London), features four ball type legs and support brackets for a pen, in the centre is a hole for fitting a heavily patterned cut glass ink container with silver floral patterned hinged lid and this also hallmarked the same as the tray, at the front of the tray are two holes for fitting a presentation silver plaque inscribed 'Presented to/R.M.C.M. Rev F G Cumming/by L.O.L. Nos 37. &. 103./In Remembrance of Dedication/of Orange Hall Rangiora/& Opening Sefton Lodge 18/1/23'. Good very fine.

The Pride of the Boyne, L.0.L., No. 37, has purchased the old Presbyterian Church-building for conversion into an Orange Hall. The building is in a good state of preservation and should, with a little renovation, serve its new purpose for many years to come. A hall dedication service is to be held on Thursday evening by the R.W.G.M., Rev Brother Cummings, assisted by the Revs J. F. Feron, W. H. Howes and A. N. Scotter. The leading officers of the Anglican, Presbyterian and Methodist Churches have received invitations to be present. Previous to the service the Mayor (Mr W. A. Banks) will accord a civic welcome to the R.W.G.M. and Grand Lodge Executive.'
