MUIOOF (MANCHESTER UNITY INDEPENDENT ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS), handcrafted in gold (probably 15ct, tot wt 10.61g, 31x31mm), no maker, pin-back and with suspension loop at reverse of top edge, reverse inscribed 'Presented to/P.P.G.M./Bro. B.J.North/On the Completion of the term of Office/As Grand Master/Of The Lyttelton District/M.U.I.O.O.F/12th March 1903'. Heavily toned, otherwise very fine.
At the annual meeting of the Lyttelton District MUIOOF on 12 March 1903, P.P.G.M. B.J.North was invested with the customary jewel by Prov. G.M. J.T.Brice. At the usual adjournment the members had dinner at the Mitre Hotel, Lyttelton.
