CHRISTCHURCH BAND CONTEST, 1928, uniface, struck in gold (9ct, 8.13g, 27mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed '1st/Trombone Trio/Won By/F.R.Brown'. Extremely fine.

The winning trombone trio was the Timaru Municipal Band composed of F.Brown, G.Buckley and L.Collins.
