MILITARY CHIT, N.Z. Expeditionary Forces, No. 1 Hospital Ship, chit on card (51x37mm), -5.Aug.1915. Small loss of paper at one side edge and small stamp hinge at back top edge and some scuffing to this edge, a few foxing spots, otherwise unused and rare.

In World War I New Zealand's first hospital ship was the SS Maheno which first sailed on 10 July 1915.
