The Maadi Recreation Tent, operated by volunteers from the residents of Maadi, was opened in the tree surrounded suburb of Maadi in Egypt to provide games facilities such as draughts and table tennis and supplied ice cream and light meals to the troops of 2NZEF. Facilities were subsequently expanded to provide other forms of entertainment and sporting facilities.^^With research.
