THE HON. Justices Association Of Wanganui N.Z., 1922, in gold (9ct, 7.57g, 24mm) and blue enamel, by H.T.Peat (Wellington), scroll top suspender, reverse inscribed 'S.H.Palmer Jones/25.1.27'. Good very fine.
Mr S.H.Palmer Jones was manager of the Wanganui Herald for over 30 years, retiring in 1948. In 1927 he was elected to the Parliamentary Committee of the New Zealand Newspaper Proprietors Association and was still in service into the 1940s. He also served as a director of the United Press Association 1938-41.
