ALBANY ST SCHOOL, 1913, The Navy League (Otago Branch) Medal, struck in silver (31mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Chris Gardner/For Shooting/Albany St School/Dec 1913'. Sweating and surface marks, otherwise fine and scarce.

The prize-giving ceremony for the senior school was held in the evening of 18 December 1913 in the Early Settlers' Hall. Mr J.H.Wilkinson presided and those assisting were His Worship the Mayor, Mr Downie Stewart, Major F.Waite representing the Navy League and the Rev. R.S.Gray. As well as winning the Navy League Medal for shooting, Chris Gardner also won the prize for gymnastics.
