M.E.B. (Marlborough Education Board) Medal, 1912, stock medal with handcrafted addition in gold and silver (45x47mm), no maker, with ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'William/A.G.Wratt,/Canvastown School/Premier Boy Scholar/in Marlborough/1912.' Extremely fine.

In January 1913 the Marlborough Education Board's Scholarship awards were announced with a National Scholarship going to William A.G.Wratt with a score of 479 marks and receiving ?10 and ?30 lodging allowance for a term of 3 years. William Wratt's father, Mr. A.Wratt, had the reputation of being the fastest builder in the Marlborough District. He was also the successful tenderer to paint the Canvastown School in 1912.^^With research.
