(MORERE SCHOOL), swimming certificate medal, hand engraved in voided gold (9ct, 4.75g, 31x30mm), by W.Good (Gisborne), pin-back, reverse inscribed 'J.Joblin./Swimming/1931'. Hairlines, otherwise good very fine.
In March 1931 the pupils of Morere School completed their swimming certificates. The competitors that completed swimming one mile were presented with a gold medal. Jack Joblin was one of only two swimmers to complete the mile swim.
