PAPANUI STATE SCHOOL, Dux medal, uniface, struck in silver (45mm), by R.P, ring top suspension, obverse inscribed 'Herbert/Stanley Clarke/Dux', reverse inscribed 'State School/T.S.Weston's/Prize/1903/Papanui'. A free-moving suspension ring at top, a few surface marks, otherwise very fine.
Herbert Clarke received this Dux medal for Standard VI at the Papanui State School. The medal was presented by Mr G.T.Weston whose father, Mr T.S.Weston, had given the dux medal for the previous 23 years.
