TE AROHA CONVENT SCHOOL, shield badge, in silver (23.5x31mm), no maker, pin-back (pin missing), obverse inscribed 'Convent School/Te Aroha/1921/Basket Ball/Champions', reverse inscribed 'Naomi Horne'. Toned, good fine.

In 1921 at a Sports Concert conducted by the nuns to raise many for the school basket ball team, Naomi Horne recited 'Cheer Up' and later appeared as a sprite in a playlet titled 'Discontented Peggy'. Then in December 1923 in the Trinity College of Music London exam held at Te Aroha local centre, Naomi Horne gained an honours pass scoring 85 in the Theory exam.
