N.Z.U.C., (New Zealand Union of Cyclists), hand engraved in gold (9ct, 3.7g, 35x22mm), English maker and hallmark, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'L.Aldred/1st/19.4.30'. Very fine.

Lawrence Aldred, aged 19, was killed in a head on collision only two weeks later during a cycle race in Mangere.
