TBC (TARANAKI BOWLING CENTRE), handcrafted in gold (9ct, 7.07g, 26mm), no maker, ring top with safety chain and also pin-back, reverse inscribed '2 nd./New Year Tourmt/1923/F.Spurdle/Skip.' Good very fine.

This annual tournament under the auspices of the Taranaki Bowling Centre was played on the New Plymouth greens with 44 different rinks entered including six from Wanganui. The rinks were divided into five sections and all games were of 21 heads except in cases of a tie in which case an extra head was played. F.Spurdle was skipper of the team from Inglewood, a small town in the Taranaki region of New Zealand's north island.^^With research.
