CH-CH (CHRISTCHURCH) SPORTS CLUB, Canterbury Championship, handcrafted prize fob in silver (30x42mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Ch-Ch/Sports Club/Canterbury Championship/Featherweight/Runner Up/J.Sellers/1925'. Toned, very fine.

The Christchurch Sports Club staged the Canterbury amateur boxing championships at the Caledonian Hall on 17 July 1925. In the featherweight finals, L.Black, 8st 10lb, stopped J.Sellers, 8st 9lb, in the third round by the incessant use of a remarkable straight left against wild rushes. The bout was of three, three minute rounds.
