AKAROA ATHLETIC SPORTS, 1906, stock medal, uniface, struck in silver (33x38mm), hallmarked for Birmingham 1898 by WHH (William Hair Haseler), ring top suspension, obverse inscribed 'TDF', reverse impressed 'Rd 323606' and inscribed 'Akaroa/Athletic Sports/1906./Greatest No. of Points/Won by/T.D.Fowler.'. Very fine.
T.D.Fowler started from Scr in the 100 (Won), 120 (Won), and 220 yards (Won), 10 yards in the 440 yards (Won) and 9 yards behind Scr in the 120 yards hurdles (2nd). Thus it is easy to understand how Fowler won the medal for greatest number of points.
