WELL PROV CHMP (WELLINGTON PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP), 1908-9, fob medal, hand engraved in gold (15ct, 7.8g, 28mm), by J.H.R. (Jno. H.Robinson, Wellington), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed '220 yds/W.A.Woodger'; NZAAA (New Zealand Amateur Athletics Association), Auckland, Feb 1910, handcrafted fob medal in gold (15ct, 15.42g, 32mm), by A.Kohn (Auckland), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'N.Z. Amateur Championship/220/Yds./Championship/W.A.Woodger/1st.' Extremely fine. (2)

In addition to winning the above events, William Woodger won the 100 yards in 10.2 seconds and the 220 yards in 23.2 seconds at the Australasian Championships in 1909. On 24 June 1911 he also competed in London, England in a 'Festival of Empire' meet to test the feasibility of a sports gathering among British Empire countries, which would ultimately lead to the establishment of the British Empire Games.
