A.A.A.S.C. (A (?) Auckland Amateur Sports Club), fob medal, handcrafted in gold (15ct, 9.2g, 26x25mm), by A.T. (Anton Teutenberg, Auckland), ring top suspension, obverse inscribed 'Presented by/T.Harle Giles', reverse inscribed 'A.A.A.S.C./Novices/Tournament/Won By/A.A.Davies/Sep 27th 1899' (D&C.S25 [probably this piece]). Good very fine.

Mr T.Harle Giles, Principal of the Business & Training College, Auckland donated a gold medal for the novice billiard tournament to be played for at the rooms of the Auckland Amateur Sports Club. By July 1899 a large number of entries had been received.
