SILVER VESTA, hinge opening plain case (42x57mm), inside includes a coin holder and a storage compartment and on the outside back is another hinged-lid small storage compartment, hallmarked for Birmingham 1907 by maker S.M.L (Samuel M. Levi, Birmingham), with ring top suspension, front inscribed 'To/E. Swainson/in commemoration of the/N.Z. Times Cup win at/Fielding Show/from/W. Reid & Son/8.2.11'. One very small dent on front and back, otherwise very fine and very scarce.

E. Swainson was a cattle breeder from Fielding.^^The Fielding Show staged by the Fielding Agricultural and Pastoral Association was an annual stock display for the farmers of the district with the exhibition pens containing practically nothing but locally-bred animals although there was some outside animals in the ring competitions.^^W. Reid & Son were also breeders who had won the New Zealand Times Cup at the previous year's Fielding Show.^^With research.
