SILVER CIGARETTE CASE, machine turned with leaf pattern both sides and on the lid is a plain, centre disc for naming, (65x89mm), by J G Ltd (Joseph Gloster Ltd, Birmingham), with hallmark for Birmingham 1921, centre disc inscribed 'To/J.Stallard/From/His Ponsonby/Friends'. Opening catch tight and strap for holding cigarettes in place has no elasticity, otherwise very fine and worthy of further research.

In 1925 Mr J.Stallard of Ponsonby was the donor to the Auckland Rugby League (ARL) of The Stallard Cup which it was decided would be competed for in a knock-out competition in the B grade of the senior ARL competition.
