WELLINGTON WOOLLEN MANUFACTURING CO LIMITED, uniface, struck in brass (32mm), no maker, pierced, numbered '120' on obverse. Very fine and very rare.

Unlisted in Grant or Roker.^^The Wellington Woollen Manufacturing Co Limited was incorporated in June 1883 and began manufacturing operations in August 1886. Its head office, warehouse and clothing factory was at the corner of Quay and Willeston Streets and its mills were at Te Koro Koro, Petone. In 1963 the company merged with the Kaiapoi Woollen Manufacturing Company.^^With research.
