GERMAN - AMERICAN FOLK HIKING DAY, May 1978, Nellingen NCO Wives Club, large voided commemorative in gilt and silvered, by Reu & Co, 7072 Heubach, with ribbon and pin-back ribbon suspender. Nearly extremely fine.
After WWII US troops occupied a Luftwaffe air base at Nellingen and built the Nellingen Barracks that included a heliport with numerous helicopters based there. In 1992 the US troops withdrew and the area was converted to the town district of Scharnhauser Park.
